On September 11th, the final conference of the Migrant Mentorship Model project will take place in Maribor, Slovenia.
Invited are all organizations from educational and employment sector as we want to extend the sustainable effects of the project to the widest possible range of stakholders at all levels: local, national and international: elementary schools, VET, non-governmental and voluntary organizations, employment services and employment agencies, employers’ associations, social services, local decision-makers, the media, relevant ministries and other interested public.
The progress of the MMM project will be presented as well as an innovative, tailored approach to the teaching of basic skills (literacy, numeracy, ICT and social competences) to migrants.
The intellectual results of the project will provide educators with a unique perspective on migrants as learners.
The intellectual outputs of the MMM project will allow employers to better understand migrants as workers. Guidelines on how to integrate migrants into the work environment will also be presented.
Migrant mentors will speak about their first-hand experiences, observations and lessons learned while working on the project and we are especially pleased to host partners from Turkey, Romania and Spain with whom we work on the similar project EMMR (http://emmr.eu/).
